Choosing a carton tape wrapping machine starts with the finished pack: where the band must sit, what it must hold and which consumable touches the carton. Send a marked carton photograph before deciding whether adhesive tape, film wrapping or strapping is the right process.
Which packaging result do you need?
An adhesive band around a carton
Review the ring-type carton tape wrapper. Mark each band position and the contact surface. Tape width, adhesive, roll core and outer diameter belong in the material review.
Tape along the flap seams
Review a carton tape sealing machine. A band around a box only covers its specified path; list any additional flap joints or openings that must be closed.
A film wrap around the load
State whether you need stretch film, shrink film or another film process. Send the material and finished-pack example. A tape wrapper should not be quoted as film-compatible without confirmation of the required equipment.
A tensioned plastic strap
Review strapping equipment and specify strap material, dimensions and joint requirements. Agree acceptable carton compression and any edge protection using a representative filled pack.
Make the problem visible before adding more turns
- Tape lifts or peels: send the tape SKU, carton surface and photographs immediately after wrapping and after the relevant storage period.
- The carton deforms: record filled weight, internal support and the location of contact pressure. Agree the acceptable finished shape during the trial.
- The bundle feels loose: identify which items move, the band positions and the handling conditions. Review the packing method before assuming that extra tape is sufficient.
- Material use varies: record turns, overlaps, tails and discarded tape for the same carton format. Compare material consumed per accepted carton.

Confirm what is included in the station
For the linked KPW-3040, the confirmed reference carton footprint is 300 × 400 mm, length × width. Provide carton height and every other required size for configuration review. This reference is not a complete permitted size range.
List loading, carton support, starting, wrapping, turning and discharge separately. Ask which steps are manual and which are included equipment. Any conveyor, holding device, integration interface or voltage option must be identified in the quotation. A photograph is not a complete scope of supply.
Compare the result with your current method
Use the same carton, consumable specification, band pattern and observation period. Record accepted packs, rework, material use and operator time. Use the output and tape-use trial method to compare the proposal with your measured baseline. Savings and payback depend on those results and your costs.
