Pallet & Orbital Stretch Wrapping Machines

Select a stretch wrapping machine by the shape of the load and how it can move during wrapping. A turntable rotates a pallet, a mobile robot travels around a stationary load, and an orbital wrapper applies film as a long product passes through a ring.

Compare these three featured routes before selecting a model. Pallet dimensions, stability, weight, film specification and the available loading area matter alongside the target output. For long products, include the cross-section, length and conveyor support requirements.

Three routes to stretch wrapping

KPW-Z4510 robot pallet wrapper

KPW-Z4510 robot pallet wrapper

Bring the machine to a stationary pallet when moving the load to a fixed wrapping point is inconvenient.

Listed minimum load footprint: 600 × 600 mm; minimum wrapped-load weight: 100 kg.

Wrap pipes, profiles, boards and similar long products through a conveyor-fed rotating ring.

Select the ring opening and conveyor layout around the product cross-section and support needs.

Define the load before choosing the machine

Record both the smallest and largest loads you expect to wrap. A load that fits geometrically still needs suitable support and stability during the cycle. Explain whether loading uses a forklift, pallet truck or conveyor, and show the space available for approach, machine operation and unloading.

  • Pallet or product dimensions and total weight
  • Photos showing stability, overhang or an irregular shape
  • Daily volume, target cycle and loading arrangement

Specify film, coverage and the complete cycle

Film selection and wrapping settings should suit the required package. Include film width and thickness, required coverage and top or bottom reinforcement. The KPW-TP1650F lists powered pre-stretch up to 250% as standard; that figure is a machine setting capability and is not a guaranteed percentage saving in film use.

  • For the orbital machine, specify stretch film or any alternative wrapping material
  • Non-woven fabric and composite paper require the optional carriage described on that product page
  • Include operator loading and film completion when assessing required output

Frequently asked questions

Should I choose a robot or a turntable pallet wrapper?

Start with how the pallet can be handled. A robot travels around the stationary load; a turntable requires placing and rotating the load on the machine. Compare dimensions, stability, floor conditions and loading access before choosing.

Can the robot wrap any load because it has no turntable?

No. The KPW-Z4510 page lists a minimum 600 × 600 mm footprint and a wrapped-load weight of at least 100 kg. Height, stability, floor condition and operating clearance must also suit the application.

Is an orbital wrapper a pallet wrapper?

The featured orbital machine is for long products moving through a rotating ring. Its selection depends on the product cross-section, support and conveyor layout. It should be assessed separately from a pallet-turntable application.

Can I derive pallets per hour from machine travel or rotation speed?

No. Travel speed, ring speed and turntable speed describe different machine movements. Finished output also includes loading, wrapping turns, reinforcement, film completion and unloading.

What is needed to confirm wrapping height?

Send the actual load height, required film coverage and available clearance. The robot and turntable pages list different standard and optional heights; the selected mast configuration must be confirmed for the application.

Describe the load you need to wrap

Send dimensions, weight, load photos, film specification, desired output, loading method, available space and local power supply.
