E-commerce Packing: Bags, Cartons and Workflow

Choose a packing station around the orders it must complete. Apparel in a courier bag, products shipped in a carton and individual items in a pillow pack involve different packaging steps. Start with product protection, parcel format and the operator's work, then select equipment for the task that limits the current process.

Match equipment to the packaging step

Courier bags for suitable apparel and soft goods

The KPW-550/650 horizontal courier bag packing series uses manual product loading with automatic bag opening and sealing. Its confirmed standard functions include barcode scanning, label printing and label application; ERP and WMS connection are optional integrations. Select the bag material, size and triggering method around product samples and the intended work sequence.

Treat the listed output configurations as machine references. The completed orders per hour also depend on product preparation, scanning, operator loading, label data and parcel removal. Include these tasks when assessing a trial rather than assuming that automatic sealing removes all manual work.

Tape sealing for cartons

For a carton workflow, review the KPW-FX5050 carton taping equipment. Provide the smallest and largest carton dimensions, carton consistency, tape specification and how the flaps are presented. Identify any size changes during a shift and confirm the adjustment and feeding arrangement required by the selected configuration.

PP strapping where the package needs a strap

The KPW-8060 PP strapping equipment provides a separate strapping step. Specify the package dimensions and weight, required strap positions, PP strap specification and acceptable tension. Carton tape sealing and strapping serve different functions; include either or both according to the package requirement.

Flow wrapping for individual product packs

For suitable individual products requiring a film pillow pack, review the horizontal pillow packing machine and the flow-wrapping selection guide. Match product dimensions, film and feeding to that process. It should be assessed separately from outer courier-bag packing or carton dispatch.

Check the station before fixing the output target

Measure the product buffer, operator position, machine access, consumable storage and finished-parcel route. Include maintenance access, electrical supply and any air requirement specified for the selected equipment. Ask for a trial using the intended product, bag or carton and label format.

For returns, first define inspection, disposition and repacking steps. Whether an original mailer can be reused depends on its condition and closure design. Confirm the required sealing process instead of assuming that a standard bagging machine can reopen and reseal every returned parcel.
