1. Separate bag production from order packing

Terms such as “automatic bag machine” can describe different operations. A product photograph, a bag sample and a short description of your current packing process help establish the correct equipment category.

2. Review the filled bag, not only its flat width

Prepare the smallest and largest typical orders, including multi-item parcels. Record their packed dimensions and weight. A soft item that unfolds during loading, a bulky garment or an insert near the seal may need additional opening and closing clearance.

For pre-opened mailers on a roll, provide the bag width and length, film construction and thickness, opening format, roll core, outside diameter and winding details. Use samples from the consumable supplier you intend to buy from. A nominal bag width does not establish feed compatibility or seal quality.

Machine cycle speed and usable packing-station output answer different questions. Compare the same products, mailer sizes, loading method, staffing and label checks. Agree whether bag replenishment, size changes, rejects and rework are included in the measurement.
