SEMI-AUTOMATIC SLEEVE SEALING + SHRINK TUNNEL

Build the right shrink bundle around your product

Choosing a sleeve shrink wrapping machine starts with the finished bundle: the number of items, their arrangement, overall dimensions and the support they need while moving through the tunnel. Share a photo of your intended pack so we can review the sealing unit, film and shrink tunnel together.

This page shows sleeve sealing and tunnel equipment, including FL-7540 specifications. For a fully enclosed individual retail pack, compare the L-bar chamber shrink wrapper before selecting a system.

Semi Automatic Sleeve Sealing & Shrinking Packaging Machine

This page presents semi-automatic sleeve sealing and shrink-tunnel equipment. Select a configuration around the complete bundle, film and required handling arrangement. Confirm appearance, stability and product compatibility with representative samples before ordering.

Features

  1. Sealing and pack format: The sealing stage forms the film around the proposed bundle. Specify the finished openings, seal position and acceptable appearance; sleeve wrapping does not by itself establish a hermetic or liquid-tight package.
  2. Matched shrink tunnel: Confirm the sealer and downstream tunnel models together. Film behaviour, heat exposure and bundle support must be assessed with the actual product; a tunnel rating alone is not a finished-pack result.
  3. Operator responsibilities: Identify who groups, loads and collects the products. Use the instructions for the delivered model and agreed conveyor arrangement; a sealing cycle is not evidence that all handling is automated.
  4. Output and running-cost assessment: Record accepted bundles, loading and collection time, interruptions and energy use under agreed conditions when comparing systems. No percentage saving or complete-workstation output is established by this description.
  5. Size and changeover checks: Check the smallest and largest proposed bundles, feed direction and film specification against the selected equipment. Agree the setup and changeover requirements for each approved combination.Semi-automatic sleeve sealing machine and shrink tunnel with an infeed conveyorExamples of bottles, cans and other products grouped in shrink packagingSleeve sealing machine connected to a shrink tunnel and roller conveyorFL-7540 specification chart with speed, power, film and machine dimension informationClick or tap the image to view full-size specifications.Sealing and Cutting Assembly: Sleeve sealing unitWire-Mesh Conveyor: Shrink tunnel conveyorShrink Tunnel Details: Air circulation fan, Electric motor, Heating tubesCooling and Electrical Components: Cooling fan, Circuit breakerSleeve sealer with a carton at the sealing station and a connected shrink tunnelBSE-5040A shrink tunnel with a roller conveyor and a shrink-wrapped bottle multipack exampleSleeve Sealing Unit: Original workshop photographShrink Tunnel Entrance: Partial view in the original photograph

How to specify a semi-automatic sleeve shrink system

Bottle and can multipacks

Send the item dimensions, number of units per bundle and row arrangement. Show whether you plan to use film only, a support pad or a tray. Check bundle stability at loading, transfer and tunnel exit with the actual containers; an example photograph alone does not establish that every pack format will run.

Cartons and grouped products

For several small boxes packed together, provide the overall bundle size and weight, plus any surfaces that must remain visible. Confirm the required end openings and finished appearance. Heat-sensitive contents, labels and trays should be included in the sample review.

Selection pointWhat to specify for your quotation
Pack dimensionsMinimum and maximum bundle length, width and height, weight, and feed direction. Product clearance, sealing width and film width are separate checks.
Film and finishProvide the film material, thickness and roll details, or ask for a recommendation with a finished-pack sample. The FL-7540 chart lists PE/PVC; confirm the chosen film with the sealing and tunnel configuration.
Table heightFL-7540 conveyor table height can be specified as 500 mm or 800 mm; other heights can be requested. Specify the required height before ordering rather than assuming an adjustable range.
Sealer and tunnelConfirm both unit models, their connection and the equipment included in the quotation. A component rating is not the total connected load of the complete system.
Site utilitiesState the destination country and actual voltage, phase and frequency. Ask for the matched electrical load and any compressed-air requirement for the proposed equipment.
Output targetGive bundles per minute, shifts and changeovers. Assess loading, sealing, shrinking and unloading as one process; conveyor speed in metres per minute is not finished packs per minute.

Sample acceptance before configuration is finalised

Use your intended product grouping and film to agree the seal, shrink appearance, bundle stability and acceptable heat exposure. Record what was tested and the operating conditions. Any output estimate should refer to that pack and configuration.

Frequently asked questions

Is sleeve wrapping the same as an L-bar shrink wrapper?

They form different pack styles. Sleeve wrapping commonly leaves openings at the ends of the bundle; an L-bar system forms an enclosing film bag before shrinking. Confirm the finish you need and compare the L-bar option if closure around an individual item is the priority. Neither description is a claim of a hermetic seal.

Does semi-automatic mean no operator is needed?

No. Plan for product loading, pack arrangement and collection unless a quoted configuration explicitly automates those steps. Discuss upstream and downstream handling separately from the sealing cycle.

Can the same setup run all bundle sizes and films?

Check each intended combination against the selected sealer, film feed and tunnel. Supply the smallest and largest packs and agree the changeover requirements; a maximum size alone does not establish the full working range.

What support is included?

Keepway provides a two-year warranty, free shipment of replacement parts during the warranty period, and lifetime service support. Include the equipment configuration and destination in your enquiry so the quotation can document the service arrangements.

Send one clear brief for a matched quotation

Include product and finished-pack photos, bundle dimensions and weight, number of items, film information, target output, table height, destination and electrical supply. Add a floor layout if the unit needs to connect to an existing conveyor.
