KPW-SDJ150 BANDING MACHINE AUTOMATIC

Keepway Banding Machine: Match the Band to the Bundle

For lightweight product groups, select an automatic banding machine by checking the actual bundle, band material and handling tasks. The KPW-SDJ150 reference supports a sample-based selection process; it does not guarantee damage-free results for every delicate item.

Trial Tension on the Actual Product
The linked KPW-SDJ150 specification lists adjustable tension of 5–50 N. This is a setting range, not a guarantee that every product can tolerate the applied band. Confirm the supplied configuration and trial the setting on representative bundles, checking for marking, crushing, movement and seal failure.

Start with the approved model-specific instructions and agree an acceptable finished bundle. Assess soft textiles and fragile stationery separately; a setting suitable for one item may not suit another.

Application-Specific Checks

Use the Keepway banding machine information as a starting point for the following applications. Confirm each proposed job with samples rather than treating this list as a blanket suitability statement:

Textile and Apparel: Check folded dimensions, compression, band movement and surface marking on curtains, socks or accessories.

Stationery and Office Supplies: Check alignment, edge protection and band position on envelopes, paper, books and cards.

Food and Beverage: Confirm package contact, cleaning requirements and the approved band material. Cake boxes, coffee bags and exposed vegetables require separate suitability checks.

Financial and Retail: Confirm bundle format and local handling requirements for notes or receipts. Banding alone does not count, authenticate or reconcile the contents.

Electronics: Check protection of cables and accessories, including relevant static-control and surface-contact requirements.

General Packaging: Trial small cartons at the minimum and maximum intended sizes and inspect their condition after handling.

Specify the Band Material and Artwork
Confirm the material and supply details before ordering:

Material Options: The linked specification covers paper or OPP bands. Match the material, width, reel dimensions and sealing requirements to the quoted unit.

Color and Printing: Ask the supplier to confirm any proposed artwork, print positioning, material compatibility, order quantity and cost before treating customization as available.

Environmental Checks: A paper banding machine does not by itself establish that a band is fully recyclable. Check the actual material, coatings and local collection route before making an environmental claim.

Surface Condition: Inspect the selected band and seal for residue, marking or damage on the actual package instead of assuming every application stays residue-free.

Separate Band Width from Bundle Opening
The current linked KPW-SDJ150 table lists band widths of 20 / 30 mm. Confirm the width supplied with the quoted machine; these are band dimensions, not 20 cm or 30 cm model sizes.

20 mm Band: Check compatibility with the machine guide, reel and sealing arrangement before selection.

30 mm Band: Confirm the required width and actual package coverage in the trial rather than choosing solely by bundle size.

Compatibility Check: Do not assume the two widths or reels can be exchanged on a supplied unit. Obtain confirmation for the specific configuration.

For requirements outside the standard listing, define and confirm the following:

Bundle Clearance: Supply minimum and maximum bundle dimensions and ask which opening or custom arrangement is available.

Band Position: Mark the required location on a sample and confirm how alignment is controlled.

Unusual Shapes: Agree support, presentation and removal arrangements before assuming a custom machine can handle them.

Agree the Trial Before Sending Samples
Prepare a written trial scope with the supplier:

Sample Details: Identify representative products, quantities, packaging condition and the expected handling sequence.

Trial Terms: Confirm any testing charges, sample shipping, return arrangements and what result evidence will be supplied.

Acceptance Criteria: Agree band position, seal integrity, package condition and accepted output, including operator loading, alignment and removal.
