Counting, Feeding and Banding in One Compact Line

This configurable KPW solution combines two machines: a counting feeder and a banding machine. It connects product separation and counting with final banding in a compact production-line arrangement. Instead of selecting the feeder and downstream machine independently, start with the item you need to handle and the finished bundle you want to receive.

Tell us your product dimensions, material condition, required quantity per bundle and available floor space. Keepway can discuss a tailored counting, feeding and banding line around those requirements. The final configuration, operating limits and packaging material are confirmed for the agreed application, rather than assumed from a reference machine.

From Individual Pieces to a Finished Bundle

  1. Present and separate the products. The feeder is the starting point for separating items from the loaded supply. Product shape, stiffness, surface finish and how the material is presented matter when assessing the feeding arrangement.
  2. Count the items for the required output. Explain whether you need a specified quantity in each bundle, a running total, or another counting requirement. These requirements should be checked against the proposed control and collection arrangement.
  3. Transfer toward the bundling station. The line illustrations show a feeder connected to a conveyor and an end bundling section. Transfer spacing, support and the handover between modules must suit the product. Buffering, automatic stacking and other handling functions are not assumed to be standard.
  4. Complete the bundle. Confirm the intended bundling position, final bundle size and packaging material before agreeing the downstream station. The aim is a coordinated solution, not an unsupported claim that any feeder can work with any bander.

A Card Feeder and Banding Solution Matched to Your Product

Buyers may describe this requirement as a card feeder with a banding machine, a counting-and-bundling system, or a compact feeding and packaging line. The important question is what your actual product needs at each stage. Cards, sheets, printed inserts and similar flat products can be submitted for application assessment; a name in this list is not a promise that every size, coating or thickness is compatible.

Share representative production samples, including any difficult variations. A flat, rigid sample may behave differently from a curled, coated, folded or static-prone item. Describe the acceptable condition of the finished bundle as well as the desired output, so the proposed line can be reviewed against both handling and presentation requirements.

Paper, OPP Film or Kraft-Paper Banding

The solution can be configured for paper bands, OPP film bands or kraft-paper bands. Tell us your preferred band material and show an example of the finished bundle. The band width, thickness, material grade and joining requirements are matched to the selected banding machine and application; the material choices are not a promise that every machine accepts every roll without adjustment.

Choose the material together with the required presentation and handling conditions. If you already use a band roll, provide its specification or a sample so the proposed machine and consumable can be checked as a pair.

Two Machines, Clearly Matched Specifications

This line is a combination of a counting/feeding machine and a banding machine. The quotation identifies the selected module models and lists their specifications separately, together with the agreed connection and layout. It is not necessary to assume a new universal model or combine unrelated reference charts.

ModuleDetails to confirm for the selected machine
Counting and feeding machineProduct size and thickness range, counting requirements, loading arrangement, feeding rate and utility requirements.
Banding machineBundle size range, paper/OPP/kraft-paper band choice, band dimensions, cycle specification and utility requirements.
Combination and layoutTransfer height and direction, bundle quantity, module handover, operator tasks and the required finished output.

A feeder's piece rate and a bander's cycle rate are not added together to create a line speed. Practical output depends on the product, pieces per bundle, transfer arrangement and banding cycle. Confirm the proposed combination using representative samples and the required finished bundle.

Build a Custom Feeding and Banding Proposal

The shown combination is a starting point for discussing a small production line. For a different workflow, describe the incoming product, the required counting result and how the finished bundle should leave the line. Changes to layout, transfer, collection and the downstream packaging stage can then be reviewed for feasibility. Additional functions are subject to engineering confirmation and are not included automatically.

  • Product: name, material, length, width, thickness and a representative sample.
  • Counting requirement: pieces per bundle, permitted variation and the method you use to verify the result.
  • Finished bundle: dimensions, required band position, consumable preference and presentation criteria.
  • Production target: required output and the product conditions under which it must be achieved.
  • Layout: available space, loading position, discharge direction and any upstream or downstream equipment.
  • Utilities and integration: destination power requirements and any required control interfaces, to be checked for the proposed configuration.

Two Demonstrations, Different Configurations

The conveyor-feeding demonstration shows material feeding and handling on a long conveyor, including operator interaction. It does not show a complete downstream bundling cycle. The compact-machine demonstration shows a different arrangement with a vertical feed area and bundled output. These are separate configuration references, not consecutive shots proving one continuous, unattended line.

Use these examples to discuss the handling arrangement you need. Request an application-specific demonstration of the proposed combined configuration, rather than assuming that the two examples share identical controls, consumables or capabilities.

Conveyor Feeding Demonstration

Configuration A: conveyor feeding with operator loading and removal. No completed bundling cycle is shown.

Compact Feeding and Bundling Demonstration

Configuration B: a separate compact arrangement showing feeding and bundled output. The footage does not establish counting accuracy or production rate; select the band material and exact module configuration in the project specification.

What to Check in a Sample Demonstration

Ask to see the intended material entering the feeder, the counting result, the transfer between modules and the completed bundle. Evaluate the count separately from bundle appearance. Review changeover and the handling of product variations, and agree how an interrupted batch will be checked. Demonstration footage should show the actual configuration being offered; an edited showcase does not establish continuous production capacity.

Choose a Feeder or a Combined Line

If you only need product separation and delivery, compare our standalone conveyor friction feeder. For a feeder-led project with counting and final bundling, use this combined-line enquiry so the handover between modules is reviewed together. Explore other configurations in Counting Machines.

Request a Counting, Feeding and Banding Solution

Send your sample photos or video, product dimensions, required bundle quantity and a simple layout sketch. Include the packaging material you prefer and any existing equipment that must connect to the new line. Keepway will use that information to discuss a suitable configuration and the details that need to be confirmed before an order.
