An M-type pallet wrapper is worth considering when the way a pallet reaches the turntable is a key part of the project. The Keepway M-type pallet wrapping machine uses an M-shaped turntable design. Check its openings and loading arrangement against your actual pallet and handling equipment before selecting a configuration.
Confirm pallet and pallet-jack compatibility
Provide a photograph of the underside of the pallet and the handling truck. Include the fork width and spacing, wheel positions and the direction of approach. Record the smallest and largest pallet formats, maximum load weight and load height. Do not choose solely from the name “M-type”: the geometry of the proposed turntable and your pallet must work together.
Review the floor condition, available approach space and operating area with the supplier. If installation is on an upper floor or in a restricted dock, include the site constraints in the enquiry and arrange the appropriate site assessment.
Match the wrap program to the load
The linked product describes PLC control, height sensing and adjustable wrapping settings. Discuss the number of top and bottom wraps, film tension and the film-carriage movement using an example of the load you ship. A stable carton stack and a light or irregular load may need different settings.
Ask which film carriage, film attachment and cutting arrangements are included in the quote. Automatic height detection does not by itself establish that loading, film attachment or unloading is unattended.
How to compare output and film use
- Use the same pallet dimensions, weight and stack arrangement for each trial.
- Record the film grade, width and wrapping program.
- Time loading, film handling, wrapping and unloading separately.
- Check the finished load, and record actual film used per pallet.
Compare the complete handling cycle rather than the turntable running time alone. Obtain the final load rating, electrical requirements and overall dimensions for the selected configuration.
