Orbital wrapping for long products

Wrap profiles, pipes, rods and other suitable long products along a horizontal conveying path. The orbital ring carries wrapping material around the product as it moves through the machine, forming an overlapping spiral wrap.

Select the ring opening, product support and conveyor arrangement around the actual product dimensions and weight. Share the smallest and largest products to be handled, including their cross-section and loading orientation.

Controls and wrapping setup

PLC control and a touch-screen interface provide settings for the wrapping process. Listed features include photoelectric sensing, adjustable wrapping overlap and automatic film-frame reset. Confirm the control package and loading arrangement for the proposed equipment.

The voltage, rotating speed and feed rate shown in the product summary are reference specifications. Match the final settings to the product, wrapping material and required coverage. Available power supply and upstream or downstream conveyors should be included in the configuration review.

Wrapping material and product handling

Stretch film is used for orbital wrapping. If your project uses non-woven fabric, composite paper or another wrapping material, send the material specification and a sample for compatibility review. Film tension, overlap and support requirements depend on the product and the desired finished wrap.
