Compare the packing operation

Neither the number of bands nor the number of film turns is a universal prescription. Agree the finished-package requirements and assess the configuration on a representative load.

Horizontal strapping is a specific strap route

A horizontal pallet strapping machine places bands around the sides at selected levels. This is different from a strap that passes over the load and beneath the pallet. If the second route is required, include it explicitly in the specification and review the side-sealing pallet strapping arrangement and pallet-guide details.

Describe the load you actually pack

Drums on a pallet

Show the drum arrangement, pallet overhang if any, filled weight and the desired band heights. Include any dividers or edge protection in the picture. The drum application images on the product page are examples of arrangements to discuss, not proof that one configuration suits every drum load.

Stacked cartons

Send the range of carton sizes, stacking pattern and carton condition. State where the band may contact the package and whether the packing specification also calls for film coverage. Agree acceptable carton deformation and the finished result during the configuration review.

Loads already wrapped in film

Provide photographs before and after wrapping and describe why another operation is being considered. When adding strapping to a wrapping station, review access, load positioning, band route and transfer space together. Do not assume that two separately quoted machines form an integrated line.

Plan the complete pallet workflow

For a conveyor line, provide the top-of-roller height, travel direction, available length and the interfaces with upstream and downstream equipment. For a separate station, explain how the loaded pallet arrives and leaves. Include the space needed by the operator and handling equipment.

Compare output across the complete process: positioning, the required band or film operations, frame movement where applicable, and discharge. A head-cycle time or turntable speed alone does not establish the finished-pallet rate.

For US, Canadian and European projects, specify the installation voltage, phase and frequency. Include the destination and any requested machine-specific documentation in the quotation request.

Separate machine cost from packing cost

Record the consumables used per pallet, operator time, changeover time and any rework in your current process. Compare alternatives on the same load and acceptance criteria. An equipment price or a material price per roll does not by itself give the cost of a finished pallet.
